Don't even think about it, were going to Peru next week! |
Another walk with friends. One of them had a birthday so I carried some snacks and a small bottle of wine to celebrate at the high point of the route.
Afterwards we went to Venta La Rata restaurant for another good menu del dia.
A few days ago we took two friends (and a dog) on a walk in Espuña.
Some of our latest walks.
Seven of us walked up to the statue of Jesus today. We then descended down to La Santa, before continuing back down to eat again at Venta La Rata.
We walked up the GR route (long distance route) on a rambla as far as La Santa and then descended back down to the forest house "Morti" before returning to the restaurant via another rambla (dry river).

Cueva de la Moneda
We did a walk from home to take a friend up to see this cave which is near to the Morron Rodondo (Round Mountain). It is quite an easy walk but to enter and exit the cave you need either ropes or a ladder. Nevertheless you can see some way into the cave from the opening. One day we'll go in and see if we can see the rumoured wall paintings.

Reluctantly leaving the cave without visiting! |
We have been doing some exploring of lesser known parts of Sierra Espuña. Below are some photos from some of the walks.
The first are photos of a walk from La Muela into the "Badlands" of Gebas.

The next set of pictures are from a walk to find and follow an old route under the south side of Pedro Lopez (in Sierra Espuña).
